About the role
n
This is a build-it-yourself prospect. You'll be the first person into a newly forming construction management team, working across subdivision and urban development sites doing everything a superintendent role demands - and over the next couple of years, if you're up for it, growing into the person who leads that team.
n
You'll be out on-site running inspections largely unsupervised: water, sewer, stormwater, reinforcement, roadworks, that kind of thing.
n
On the contract side - progress claims, variation claims, extensions of time, dispute management - you'll have experienced support from the senior engineering team while you build that side of your skill set.
n
It's real autonomy on the technical work, with backup where it counts.
n




No more 6.30am pre-starts as a standard.

It's a 371⁄2 hour week, and you'll manage your own day across your sites.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Running construction and stage inspections across urban development and subdivision sites
n
Acting in the superintendent role: progress claims, variation claims, extensions of time
n
Reviewing QA data post-construction
n
Working closely with the contracts team to build your commercial and dispute-management skills
n
Helping shape a construction team that will grow under your lead over the next few years
n

What we're looking for
n
n
A qualified Civil Engineer with at least 3-5 years of construction experience within South East Queensland
n
Proven experience working on urban development and subdivision projects and working knowledge of SEQ local council regulations
n
Robust interpersonal skills
n
Capability in contracts administration and progress claims management
n
