Bartons Motor Group is looking for a reliable and highly confident driver to join our team at our dedicated vehicle holding yard.
n
This is a behind-the-scenes role with no customer-facing responsibilities. You'll be responsible for moving, preparing and managing vehicles while helping keep our holding yard running smoothly and efficiently.
n
If you're someone who is comfortable driving a wide range of vehicles, confident manoeuvring in tight spaces and takes pride in looking after cars, this could be the role for you.

The Role
n
Working from our vehicle holding yard, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day movement, presentation and organisation of our vehicle stock.
n
Vehicle Movements
n
n
Moving vehicles around the holding yard
n
Transferring vehicles between Bartons locations
n
Safely manoeuvring vehicles in tight spaces
n
Parking and positioning vehicles accurately
n
Assisting with vehicle transfers and deliveries
n
Taking care of vehicles while they are in your care
n
n
Vehicle Preparation
n
n
Washing and cleaning vehicles
n
Pre-delivery preparation
n
Basic accessory fitment
n
Ensuring vehicles are clean, organised and ready for their next destination
n
n
Stock & Yard Management
n
n
Stock auditing and inventory checks
n
Locating and organising vehicles
n
Updating vehicle records and completing basic administration
n
Keeping the yard organised and operating efficiently
n
n
General Duties
n
n
General yard and site maintenance
n
Keeping work areas clean and tidy
n
Assisting the team with a variety of hand-on tasks
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
This role is all about reliability, attention to detail and confidence behind the wheel.

You'll need:
n
n
Excellent driving skills and a high level of confidence driving different vehicles
n
Current manual driver's licence
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
A strong work ethic and willingness to get hands-on
n
Good communication and problem-solving skills
n
Reliable and punctual
n
Able to work independently and as part of a team
n
A positive attitude and professional approach
n
Pride in keeping vehicles and the yard to a high standard
n
n
Previous experience in automotive, vehicle yards, dealerships, logistics, detailing or vehicle movements will be highly regarded.
n
Confident Driving Is Essential
n
You don't need to be a professional race car driver - but you do need to be genuinely confident behind the wheel.
n
You'll regularly be moving and positioning vehicles, including manoeuvring in confined areas, so excellent vehicle control, awareness and confidence are essential.
