Job Description
Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced HC Driver for full-time, ongoing day shift work, completing scheduled shuttle deliveries between Laverton and Burwood for a major Victorian construction project.

This role is ideal for a driver with construction freight experience who is confident with load restraint, trailer movements and working to scheduled delivery times.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Complete scheduled shuttle deliveries between our Laverton depot and Burwood construction site.
n
Transport construction freight safely and in line with pre-booked delivery times.
n
Secure loads using straps, dogs and chains in accordance with NHVR requirements.
n
Hook and unhook trailers as part of the shuttle cycle.
n
Conduct pre-start vehicle inspections and complete required delivery documentation.
n
Maintain compliance with OH&S;, NHVR and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
n
Complete occasional deliveries to other Melbourne construction sites as required.
n
Work Monday to Friday day shift between 5:00am and 5:00pm, with overtime available.

What You'll Bring
n
n
Current HC Licence with a minimum of 2 years' HC driving experience.
n
Experience safely coupling and uncoupling trailers.
n
Confidence using straps, dogs and chains for load restraint.
n
White Card, or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement with support provided.
n




Good knowledge of Melbourne metropolitan roads and surrounding suburbs.
n
Reliable, safety-focused approach with the ability to work independently and meet scheduled delivery times.
