Due to ongoing growth in open pit operations, we are seeking a Geology Technician with open pit mining experience who is motivated and enjoys working as part of a agile team within a growing company.
n
Reporting to the Geology Superintendent and working an 8/6, 7/7 roster, the role can be FIFO from Perth to Leonora, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or available for local residential.

The Opportunity

Monitoring ore mining to maximise recovery and minimise dilution
n
Providing accurate records of ore mining activities
n
Conducting ore mark-ups and prepare areas for mining
n
Co-coordinating grade control activities
n
Grade control sampling
n
Assisting the mine geologists and production team with general duties as required
n

Driver's license (C Class, manual car) – essential;
n
2+ years employment history as a Geology Technician or Pit Technician
n
Experience in working with different types and styles of deposits
n
Well-rounded technical and geology software skills
n
