Bendigo Rail Workshops (BRW) is a rail maintenance facility located in Bendigo, Victoria. BRW is a critical member of the Southern Shorthaul Railroad group of companies and as such performs maintenance work for some of the largest rail companies in Australia.

Maintenance and Upgrades

Accident Repairs

Full Strip-Down and Overhaul

Painting
n
Field Services and Provisioning

Emergency Recovery

BRW is currently seeking an experienced Storeperson to join the team on a full time basis.
n
Job tasks and responsibilities
n
Unload and load vehicles to move freight including third party companies and internal customers
n
Complete all documentation required for both receiving goods and dispatch goods. Includes entering into software where appropriate.
n
Store goods in line with current processes
n
Pack goods for transport to avoid any potential damage
n
Communicate with leadership group any issues with stock received or sent
n
Perform stocktakes as requested
n
Assess stock levels to ensure correct number of items are on hand for use as required
n
Maintain a clean and safe store
n
Liaise with factory staff as required and document requirements
n
Enter purchase orders into a computer system and send to suppliers.
n




Communicate with suppliers for ordered good deliveries
n
Source parts and consumables as required
n
Must be able to stand and work continuously for an extended period
n
Manual handling is required in this role and may require lifting of items *****kg
n
Have an attention for detail to highlight and action non-conforming, defective or damaged goods
n
Skills and experience
n
Physically fit as duties may include;
n
Standing for extended periods of time
n
Working on hot days
n
Working at heights
n
Working in confined spaces
n
Working on the ground
n
Competent and efficient with computers
n
High attention to detail
n
Hold a current Forklift Licence and be an experienced user
n
Hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence
n
Hold a current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one
n
