Job Description
Staff Specialist Psychiatrist – Child, Adolescent & Young Adult Mental Health Townsville, North Queensland | Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Hours

Sante Recruitment is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist Psychiatrist to join the Townsville Mental Health Service Group, working within the Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Services (CAYAS).
This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychiatrist seeking a permanent position within a comprehensive, multidisciplinary mental health service, with the flexibility to work across a range of CAYAS teams.
Permanent full-time or part-time employment is available, with hours negotiable.
The Opportunity The successful Psychiatrist will provide high-quality specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and clinical leadership across CAYAS.
Depending on experience, service requirements and preference, the role may provide opportunities to work across:
Adolescent Inpatient Unit
Adolescent Day Service
Community-based CAYAS teams
North Queensland Adolescent Forensic Mental Health Service
Other Child, Adolescent and Young Adult mental health programs
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering complex secondary and tertiary mental health care to children, adolescents and young people experiencing serious and complex mental health conditions.
About CAYAS Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Services (CAYAS) provides comprehensive, recovery-oriented mental health care to children, young people and their families/carers across the Townsville region.
The service combines specialist consultation, assessment and treatment for young people experiencing significant mental health disorders,
as well as supporting their families and carer networks.
The service provides an opportunity to work across a broad range of presentations within a highly team-oriented and supportive specialist environment.

Remuneration & Benefits An attractive Queensland Health remuneration package is available, including:
Base salary: $8,****** – $10,****** per fortnight
Hourly rate: $****** – $******
Attraction & Retention incentive of up to $111,029 per annum
Regional & Rural Attraction Allowance of up to $13,334 per annum
Vehicle allowance of up to $25,500 per annum
Professional Development Allowance of $21,500 per annum
Professional Development Leave
Locality allowance
17.5% annual leave loading
*****% employer superannuation contribution
Salarypackaging/sacrificingoptions may be available
Generous Queensland Health leave entitlements
Relocation assistance, including temporary accommodation, may be available
Remuneration and applicable allowances are subject to eligibility and Queensland Health employment conditions.
Essential Requirements Applicants Must Have
Specialist qualifications in Psychiatry recognised by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
Current registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
Eligibility to obtain Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) through the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Credentialing and SoCP Committee
A current Class C driver's licence, as the position requires the incumbent to operate a Class C motor vehicle
