About the role
n
This is a full-time position involving a variety of plumbing work across residential, insurance and commercial properties.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
General plumbing maintenance and repairs.
n
Attending insurance make safes and emergency plumbing jobs.
n
Investigating and diagnosing water leaks.
n
Completing water and gas pressure testing.
n
Repairing burst pipes, water services, wastes and drainage systems.
n
Completing CCTV drainage inspections and clearing blockages where experienced.
n
Carrying out roof plumbing, gutter and downpipe repairs where qualified and competent.
n
Clearly explaining findings to customers and the DJS office.
n
Taking relevant photographs and preparing accurate job notes and reports.
n




Identifying additional maintenance or safety issues.
n
Completing required SWMS, risk assessments and site documentation.
n
Working safely and following DJS procedures at all times.
n
Participating in an after-hours on-call roster when required.
n

What we are looking for
n
The successful applicant must have:
n
n
Victorian plumbing registration or licence in the relevant classes.
n
Current Victorian driver licence.
n
Construction Industry White Card.
n
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
n
Experience in maintenance plumbing.
n
Good written and verbal communication skills.
n
The ability to prepare clear job notes and reports.
n
A skilled and respectful approach when dealing with customers.
n
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
n
Reliable attendance and good time management.
n
Pride in their workmanship and presentation.
n
n
Experience in insurance plumbing, leak detection, roofing, drainage or CCTV inspections will be highly regarded but is not essential for the right applicant.
n
