We're seeking an experienced Maintenance & Asset Superintendent to lead maintenance operations in Hunter Valley, ensuring the safe, reliable and cost-effective performance of mobile and fixed plant assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role with accountability for people, safety, asset performance and maintenance delivery.
The Role n
n
Lead and supervise maintenance team
n
Manage preventative maintenance, breakdowns and statutory compliance activities
n
Drive a strong safety culture aligned with site, customer and legislative requirements
n
Oversee maintenance scheduling across multiple operational sites
n
Monitor asset performance, availability and maintenance costs
n
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
n
Manage contractors and outsourced maintenance services
n
Build strong relationships with internal teams and customers
n
Deliver regular reporting on asset performance and cost
n
About You n
n
Trade qualified (Mechanical/Fitter or Electrical with automotive fixed plant experience)
n
Strong experience maintaining mobile and fixed plant operations
n
Proven leadership experience in maintenance or field operations
n
Knowledge or an understanding of legislation relevant to the open cut mining environment is desirable
n




Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance outcomes
n
Strong fault finding and diagnostic capability
n
Experience working in high-risk environments (mining or hazardous industries preferred)
n
Licences & Tickets n
n
Current Driver's Licence (HR Licence advantageous)
n
High risk work licence (FL/Dogging/EWP)
n
Dangerous Goods Licence (current or ability to obtain)
n
Current or the ability to obtain relevant Security Clearances / Authorisation for unsupervised access to Security Sensitive Dangerous in all states which AECI operate
n
