Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Management Accountant to join our manufacturing business and play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations, reporting and commercial performance of the business. This is a broad role suited to an accountant who enjoys being involved in the detail and understands the financial complexities of a manufacturing workplace. You will work closely with management and operational teams, providing accurate financial information and helping drive better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

n

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance results

n

Manage BAS preparation and lodgement, including GST reconciliations

n

Manage and reconcile Payroll Tax obligations

n

Manage Workers Compensation requirements, reconciliations and reporting

n

Manage debtor insurance and other business insurance policies, including renewals, reconciliations and claims where required

n

Accounts receivable and debtor management, including credit control and collections

n

Prepare and monitor BOM (Bill of Materials) costing and ensure accurate product costing

n

Manage inventory accounting, including stock movements, valuation,



provisions and reconciliations

n

Analyse stock variances, manufacturing costs and production performance

n

Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management

n

About you

n

3+ years' experience in a Management Accountant or similar role

n

Previous experience in a manufacturing business is highly desirable

n

Strong knowledge of BOM and product costing

n

Solid experience with inventory accounting and stock reconciliations

n

Experience managing BAS and GST

n

Experience with Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation

n

Experience managing debtor insurance and general business insurance

n

Strong understanding of month-end reporting and reconciliations

n

Robust analytical and problem-solving skills

n

A key accounting role within an established manufacturing business

n
