An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a well-established organisation undergoing a period of change and process improvement.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role managing a team of 5, responsible for overseeing both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including offshore resources, while driving improvements across systems, processes and payment management.
n
The Role
n
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage a team of 5 and take ownership of the AP/AR function, playing a key role in stabilising processes, resolving outstanding issues and establishing sustainable processes for the future.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Managing and supporting a team of 5, including the day-to-day management of offshore resources
n
Providing direct oversight of both the AP and AR functions
n
Leading the clean-up of the AP ageing, including investigating and correctly applying mismatched payments
n
Establishing a regular AP payment run schedule across all regions and ensuring adherence
n
Owning the resolution of Shopify/Sage API integration issues, including returns and credits processing
n
Working closely with internal systems teams and external providers to resolve system and process issues
n
Evaluating and, where viable, implementing the OCR solution identified by Richard Ellis
n
Reviewing and improving existing AP/AR processes to improve accuracy, efficiency and visibility
n
Building sustainable processes and procedures that can be successfully handed over to a permanent hire or existing team members at the conclusion of the engagement
n
Supporting the Financial Controller with reporting,



process improvements and ad hoc finance requirements

About You
n
You will be a proactive and hands-on finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership, leading a team and implementing practical solutions.
n
Key requirements:
n
n
Proven experience managing Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
n
Experience managing and developing a team of 5 or similar-sized team
n
Strong Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a high-volume environment
n
Experience managing offshore finance resources
n
Strong understanding of AP ageing, payment runs, reconciliations and payment allocation
n
Experience troubleshooting systems integrations and process issues
n
Strong systems and process improvement capability
n
Ability to establish structure, improve processes and leave behind sustainable solutions
n
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
Comfortable working hands-on while also providing leadership and oversight
n
n
Systems Experience
n
n
Experience with Sage highly regarded
n
Exposure to Shopify and API integrations
n
Experience with OCR solutions or automated invoice processing systems
n
Strong ERP and finance systems experience
n
n
