Teacher - Primary Years/Secondary Years - Casual Tutor

Interested in part time teaching work? Positive hourly rate? Flexible hours after school or Saturdays. Individual tutoring (Prep to 6/Years 7 to 10).

We are seeking experienced teachers with the passion and dedication to provide private one to one numeracy and literacy teaching to primary and secondary students.
n
Additional opportunity if interested to work with students who are struggling academically due to neurodiversity or learning difficulties including dyslexia, dysgraphia or dyscalculia.
n
This is an on site role, working collaboratively in a team with Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants.

Qualifications and Experience:
n




VIT registered Primary Years teacher/Secondary Years teacher
n
Training in MSL (Multisensory Structured Language Instruction) an advantage but not essential.
n
High level of verbal and written communication skills.
n
Current Police Check and Working with Children Check
n
Tasks and Responsibilities
n
Provide literacy and numeracy intervention, working with students one-to-one. Students generally range from Prep to Year 6 and secondary students Year 7 to Year 10.
n
Build strong, trusting relationships with students
n
Have an excellent working knowledge of the Victorian Primary
Curriculum/Secondary
Curriculum
n
Work collaboratively with Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists to support the student's learning needs.
n
Competitive hourly rate (based on experience).
n
Part-time, casual, flexible hours. Sessions available across the week to suit your other commitments. Option for Saturday work if interested.
n
School holiday work option available depending on student/tutor availability.
