You'll be working on a varied range of fabrication, welding, repair and maintenance projects — so no two days will be exactly the same.

Key responsibilities

n

n
Fabricating steel and stainless-steel components for plant and equipment
n
Welding and fabrication to engineering specifications
n
Repairing, modifying and maintaining plant and equipment
n
Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
n
Measuring, marking, fitting and assembling components
n
Setting up and safely operating workshop machinery and hand tools
n
Using specialist measuring equipment
n
Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring work meets required standards
n
Working to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
n
Following safe work procedures and maintaining a clean and organised workshop
n

About you

n

n
5+ years' experience as a Boilermaker/Welder
n
Strong experience in steel fabrication and welding
n
Experience working with structural, heavy or general fabrication
n
Experience welding various grades of steel and/or stainless steel
n
Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings
n
A solid understanding of WHS and protected work practices
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Pride in producing quality work
n
Current C-Class Manual Driver's Licence (essential)
n
Forklift Licence (essential)
n
Dogging / Dogger's ticket ( desired)
n
Additional lifting or rigging qualifications ( desired)
n
