Job Summary / Overview

n

An prospect for an Accountant to support the financial management and reporting activities of a diverse operational setting. Working closely with the Management Accountant, you will contribute across monthly accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, business planning and operational reporting.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Assist with monthly accounts through to Trial Balance including journal adjustments and validation reporting
n
Monitor, analyse and report on financial performance
n
Contribute to the preparation, monitoring and review of business and financial plans
n
Provide advice to managers and staff on day-to-day financial and business management matters
n
Liaise with Finance to support timely and accurate financial reporting
n
Review monthly reports and undertake quality control and financial analysis
n
Contribute to analysis of working arrangements with external government stakeholders
n
Undertake procurement and accounts payable activities
n
Support administration staff across procurement activities and business reporting
n

Required Qualifications

n





n
Relevant university qualification or equivalent experience
n
Considerable experience in financial management, budgeting and business plan preparation
n
Experience compiling and interrogating financial information, analysing data and preparing written reports
n
Experience across finance and administrative practices, procurement and supply processes
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
Ability to obtain a satisfactory WA National Police Certificate
n

Working Conditions

n

The position is based in Bunbury. Travel to regional offices within southwest WA including overnight travel may be required.
