Saint & Rogue is seeking an experienced and hands-on Bar Manager to join our Melbourne CBD venue on a full-time, six-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of parental leave.
n
This is a rare Monday-to-Friday hospitality role, offering a competitive salary of $80,000 plus superannuation. While the position is initially fixed term, there is genuine potential for it to develop into an ongoing full time opportunity within the venue.

About the role
n
As Bar Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the bar and lead the bar team to deliver efficient, professional and friendly service.
n
Your key responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading, supporting and supervising the bar team
n
Preparing rosters and managing staffing requirements
n
Overseeing beverage ordering, receiving and stock rotation
n
Managing stock levels, stocktakes, wastage and cost control
n
Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service
n




Ensuring all liquor licensing, RSA, food safety and workplace safety requirements are met
n
Training, developing and engaging team members
n
Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and performance management
n
Monitoring bar performance and identifying operational improvements
n
Working closely with the venue management, kitchen and front-of-house teams
n
Providing hands-on support during busy service periods
n
Opening and closing the venue as required
n

About you
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n
Has previous experience as a Bar Manager, Assistant Bar Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role
n
Is confident managing and developing a team
n
Has strong rostering, ordering and stock-control skills
n
Understands beverage costs, margins and wastage management
n
Is organised, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of the bar operation
n
Leads from the front and enjoys being part of service
n
Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
Maintains high standards even during busy periods
n
Holds a current Victorian RSA certificate
n
Has full Australian working rights for the contract period
n
