AEMO's System Design division is at the centre of one of Australia's most significant energy transformations, helping shape and enable the power system of the future.
Within System Design, the Onboarding and Connections Group plays a critical role in bringing newgenerators,storageandload projects into the National Electricity Market.
The team combines high-quality data, practical analytics, fit-for-purpose systems, and clear reporting tomeet regulatoryobligations,providetrustedinformationonconnectionswhichhelps guidetheenergy transition anddrive continuous improvement across the connections process.
As an Analyst – Data & Reportingyou'llpartneracross AEMO to deliver trustedinsightsthatsupportinformed decision‐making, drivebusiness performance.
Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation, we transform data into meaningful reporting and analysis that helps shape outcomes for Australia's energy future.
About the role
As anAnalyst,



Data and Reporting,you'llplayan important rolein delivering high-qualityreporting,analysisandinsights to support business and operational decision-making.
Working with a variety of stakeholders,you'llhelpidentifyopportunities,improvedatamanagementandreportingprocessesandensure data is presented in aclear,meaningfulandactionable way.

This role can be based inany Australian capital city.
What you will be doing
Develop,maintainandenhancereports,dashboardsanddata visualisations.
Analyse datatoidentifytrends,insightsandopportunities for improvement.
Work closely with stakeholders tounderstanddata,reportingandbusiness requirements.
Ensure dataquality,accuracyandconsistency across reporting outputs.
Translate data into clear and meaningful insights for a range of audiences.
Support continuous improvement of reporting processes,toolsand frameworks.
Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver data-driven outcomes.
What you will bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications inEngineering, Mathematics,Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems,Statistics,Commerceora related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.




Experience in data analysis,working with large datasets
Datavisualisationcapabilitye.g.
experienceusingreporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
Strong communicationand stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively across teams.
A proactiveapproach,curiosityanda willingness to learn and grow.
This role will suit someone who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights, building strong relationships and solving problems collaboratively.
