Automotive Technician / Engineer for Smart Security System Installation

nThe Role n
n
We're looking for a skilled and motivated Auto Electrician to join our team in Melbourne. You'll become a key expert in the professional installation of our advanced smart security systems – S5 and P8 — across various vehicle makes and models, while also training installer partners and supporting test installations.

nKey Responsibilities n
n

Perform professional and precise installation of Gazer's S5 and P8 smart security systems
n
n
Work confidently with CAN, CAN FD, and LIN bus systems during integration and diagnostics
n
n
Read and work from wiring diagrams and connection schematics
n
n
Disassemble and reassemble vehicle interior trim/panels as needed for clean, professional installs
n
n
Ensure high-quality wiring and integration with existing vehicle electronic systems
n
n
Receive full hands-on training to master Gazer's proprietary technology
n
n
Train installer partners on correct installation procedures and best practices
n
n




Conduct test installations and provide technical support and quality checks on installed units
n
n
n
nRequirements n
n
n
n
Minimum 3 years of experience as an Auto Electrician or Automotive Technician
n
n
Practical understanding of and hands-on experience with CAN, CAN FD, and LIN bus systems — non-negotiable
n
n
Experience installing aftermarket security, alarm, or telematics systems
n
n
Comfortable working from wiring/connection diagrams
n
n
Experience disassembling vehicle interiors (panels, trim) for installation work
n
n
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostic tools
n
n
Ability to learn quickly and work with new AI-integrated technologies
n
n
High attention to detail and a responsible work ethic
n
n
Valid driver's license and own vehicle required — you'll be traveling across the region for installations and partner training; fuel costs covered by the company
n
n
Basic auto electrical hand tools preferred
