About the Role
n
As a Kitchen Steward, you'll play an essential role in supporting our chefs and kitchen team by ensuring equipment, utensils and work areas are maintained to the highest standard.
n
This is a hands on role that requires plenty of lifting, manual handling and working in a busy commercial kitchen where space is limited and safety is critical.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
n
Assisting with waste removal and stock movement.
n
Operating commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
n
Using cleaning chemicals in accordance with food safety and workplace procedures.
n




Supporting the kitchen team to ensure service runs smoothly.
n
Following food safety, WHS and hygiene standards at all times.
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen or stewarding role is essential.
n
A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
n
Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and manual handling.
n
Comfortable working in hot, fast paced kitchens and confined workspaces.
n
Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning procedures.
n
A positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
n
Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
