Kardinia Dental is seeking an experiencedOral Hygienist/Oral Health Therapistto join our dedicated team in Geelong, Victoria.
This is a 4 days a week,part-time permanent positionthat offers flexibility whilst maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in our commitment to promoting oral health and preventative care within our community.
You will work collaboratively with a dentist to deliver comprehensive oral hygiene services and patient education, contributing significantly to improved patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
Providing professional oral hygiene treatment, including scaling, polishing and root planing for patients of all ages
Conducting thorough patient assessments and documenting findings accurately in patient records
Delivering oral health education and preventative care advice to patients
Taking and processing intraoral and extraoral radiographs in accordance with radiation safety guidelines
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment
Supporting patients with special needs and managing anxious patients with sensitivity and professionalism
Contributing to the implementation of infection control and sterilisation protocols
What we're looking for
Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia as an Oral Health Therapist or Oral Hygienist
Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in oral hygiene or oral health therapy
Strong knowledge of periodontal disease prevention and management
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and engage patients effectively
Professional approach to patient confidentiality and data protection
Ability to work effectively with the team
A genuine commitment to providing quality patient care and oral health promotion
