I'm recruiting an experiencedEnvironmental Consultant / Fieldwork Managerto take responsibility for the day-to-day site delivery of a large, complexsoil and hazardous materials remediation project.
This is very much ahands-on site role.
You'll be coordinating environmental and HazMat teams, managing sampling programs, dealing directly with contractors and stakeholders, solving problems as they arise and making sure the project keeps moving.
If you've built a solid technical background in contaminated land consulting and are ready to take greater ownership of field delivery, this could be a outstanding next move.
The role
You'll be the key environmental presence on site, working closely with the Project Manager and Project Director while taking responsibility for the day-to-day field program.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and coordinatingenvironmental and HazMat field teams
Managingsoil and hazardous materials sampling programs
Getting on the tools and undertaking sampling yourself when required
Coordinating multiple teams and contractors across a busy remediation site
Acting as a key point of contact for theclient, principal contractor, regulators and other stakeholders
Keeping field activities organised, efficient and on schedule
Working with senior project staff to meet project deadlines and quality requirements




Troubleshooting the inevitable issues that come up on a large, live remediation project
The position is genuinely at the centre of site delivery, with responsibility for bringing together the different field teams and project stakeholders.
What I'm looking for
You'll ideally have:
4+ years' experience in environmental consulting
Strongcontaminated land / soil remediationexperience
Practical experience withsoil and water sampling
Confidence running and coordinating field programs
Experience dealing directly with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders
Strong communication and organisational skills
The ability to think on your feet and solve problems in live site conditions
HazMat experience would be highly regarded, as would previous experience working ondemolition or large contaminated-land remediation projects.
A role for someone who likes being on site
This isn't a conventional Monday-to-Friday consulting role where most of your week is spent writing reports.
It's ademanding, site-focused position on a major project, with longer site hours and Saturday work forming part of the program.
Importantly, additional hours beyond ordinary hours are recognised throughovertime pay or time off in lieu, with fatigue and rest managed under company policy.
For someone who enjoysfieldwork, leading people and being involved in the action, it's an opportunity to gain substantial experience on a significant remediation project.
