Middlemount Coal Mine is located approximately 90 kilometres north-east of Emerald and some 7 kilometres west of the township of Middlemount in Queensland's Bowen Basin.

Middlemount Coal Mine is an open-cut coal mine which uses conventional truck and excavator methods. Middlemount commenced its full-scale operations in November ****, producing approximately 4Mtpa of coking and PCI coal for export. Middlemount coal mine has a life expectancy estimated to be more than 30 years.

Middlemount Coal Pty Ltd (MCPL) is an incorporated joint venture between Peabody Energy Australia Pty Ltd and Yancoal Australia Ltd.

About the role
n
We are currently seeking experienced and safety-focused Production Mining Operators to join our operations at Middlemount Coal Mine. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading coal mining operation, operating modern equipment in a dynamic and supportive team setting.
n
As a Production Mining Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy mining equipment and contributing to production targets while demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Requirements
n

Proven experience operating Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, Water Trucks, Loaders or Excavators
n
Demonstrated background in open cut production mining
n




Strong commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a high standard of safety on site
n
Effective communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond with urgency when required
n
Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
n
Professional approach with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team
n
Willingness to embrace change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
n
