This is a hands-on technical position where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and assembly of diesel-powered trucks and trailer tippers.

The Role
Fit and connecthydraulic systemsfor tipping bodies, including PTOs, pumps, tanks, hoses, valves and associated components.
Install and connectpneumatic/air systemsassociated with tipping body and truck operation.
Carry out*****V electrical fit-out, including switches, solenoids, warning systems, lighting, cameras and other accessories.
Understand and work with existingtruck chassis, electrical and air systemswhen completing body installations.
Diagnose and rectify hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults during fit-out and commissioning.
Test and commission completed truck installations prior to delivery.
Work closely with our engineering, production and fitting teams to resolve technical issues.




Assist with developing better installation methods and processes.
Providetechnical guidance and support to our fitters, helping build the capability of the wider team.
Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
What We're Looking For
Is a qualifiedDiesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanicor has equivalent heavy vehicle experience.
Has solid practical knowledge oftrucks and heavy vehicle systems.
Has experience withhydraulics and pneumatic/air systems.
Is confident withautomotive electrical systems and fault finding.
Ideally has experience withPTO and hydraulic installationson trucks.
Can read hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical diagrams.
Has strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Is comfortable working in amanufacturing and truck fit-out environment, rather than a traditional mechanical workshop.
Can work independently and take ownership of jobs.
Is willing and capable ofguiding and supporting other fitters.
Takes pride in producing neat, reliable and high-quality work.

This position would suit an experienced heavy vehicle mechanic who enjoys working on trucks but is looking for something different from day-to-day engine servicing and repairs.
You'll be working ontruck fit-outs, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems, helping turn a truck chassis into a completed working tipper.
