Reporting to the Sport Program Manager this role is the leader of the MSA Netball Program.

THE ROLE OF HEAD NETBALL COACH WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
n
n
To develop and deliver a high-performance Netball program for student-athletes (Years 7-12) which compliments and supports the NetballTalent Pathway programs.
n
To support student-athletes in balancing their sporting aspirations and their education (with the aim of all Netballstudent-athletes completing their VCE).
n
Establish and maintain strong professional relationships and communication with all stakeholders.
n
Manage and mentor assistant coaches via our coach development proformas to jointly deliver the program.
n
Monitoring new developments in the field of coaching and sports science specific to Netball and implement where appropriate.
n
Set and enforce minimum standards for the program which are consistent with the overall cultural expectations for all student-athletes within the MSA program.
n
Create an workplace of continuous improvement in athletes and coaches withinthe program. Including reviewing and monitoring Talent Development metrics.
n
Collaborate with MSA Strength & Conditioning,



Rehab and Sports Science staff to ensure best outcomes for student-athletes.
n
Lead the Netball trial process for prospective MSA Netball student-athletes (Year 7-12).
n
Compete annual key focus areas, termly 1:1 meeteings and develop a positive working relationship with the program manager of Netball.
n
Ensure the welfare of the athletes is maintained by ensuring that they are aware of the support structures available to them and encourage a harmonious group environment by liaising with all team members, other coaches, the college and parents / carers.

Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing athlete
learning.Demonstrated
experience in using data to inform coaching practice and providing feedback on athlete learning growth and achievement.

Demonstrated interpersonal and communication
skills.Demonstrated
experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships.
n
Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department and College / Academy values.
n
Demonstrated personal and professional abilities to develop talented / emerging Netballor elite players within the system.
n
Experience in managing a talent pathway / elite program including athletes and assistant coaches.
