Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the leadership team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of financial, payroll, reporting and compliance activities while developing valuable experience within the aged care industry.

About the role
n
The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations and administrative accounting functions of Navorina Nursing Home.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Processing invoices and managing accounts payable activities
n
Reconciling petty cash and maintaining accurate financial records
n
Assisting with budget preparation, forecasting and variance analysis
n
Supporting cash flow and profitability reporting
n
Supporting resident billing, RAD statements, admissions, discharges and refunds
n
Provide backup support for payroll processing
n
Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
n
Contributing to regulatory reporting requirements, including QFR and Stewart Brown reporting
n




Supporting internal and external audit processes
n
Working collaboratively with operational, clinical and administrative teams
n
Participating in continuous improvement and risk management initiatives
n

About you
n
n
Demonstrated experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within an aged care or not-for-profit workplace.
n
Qualifications (or actively working towards a degree/diploma) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
n
Strong knowledge of core accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget support.
n
Proficiency in accounting/payroll software with strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
n
Proven attention to detail, accuracy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
n
Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a small team.
n
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
n
Current NSW Driver's Licence.
n
Familiarity or willingness to learn aged care funding arrangements (AN-ACC), RAD/DAP/MTCF processes, Stewart Brown, and QFR reporting.
n
