Sharp & Carter is partnering with a highly regarded Queensland-based organisation to recruit a Principal Risk & Governance Officer for a temporary assignment.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned risk and governance professional to join a collaborative team and play a key role in strengthening risk management, governance practices and organisational performance. Working closely with senior leaders, you will provide trusted advice, drive risk reporting initiatives and contribute to a strong risk-aware culture across the organisation.
The Opportunity n
Reporting into the Governance, Risk & Planning function, this is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys partnering with leaders, influencing decision-making and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Lead the coordination of enterprise risk management reporting and framework reviews.
n
Prepare high-quality board and committee papers, reports and briefing documents.
n
Provide expert advice on risk identification, assessment and treatment strategies.
n




Conduct reviews of processes, controls and operational activities to identify improvement opportunities.
n
Support business continuity planning and enterprise-wide risk initiatives.
n
Contribute to policy, framework and procedure reviews relating to governance and risk management.
n
About You n
n
Demonstrated experience working within enterprise risk management, governance, compliance or audit environments.
n
Solid experience monitoring, reporting and managing organisational risks.
n
The ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across a business.
n
A sound understanding of how organisational systems, controls and processes contribute to business performance.
n
