We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Cook to join our Cranbourne team at Inspire Early Learning Journey. In this role, you will be responsible for planning nutritionally balanced meals for children aged 6 months to 6 years, following the Feed Australia program to be responsible for menu planning.

Key Responsibilities:
n
Prepare meals, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and late snacks.
n
Review menu plans seasonally and submit them to the Centre Manager for approval, ensuring adherence to campus budgets.
n
Create a 4-week rotating menu, display it within the campus, and distribute it to families via email.
n
Plan and conduct workshops for families on healthy meal preparation.
n
Organize cooking demonstrations or activities with groups of children at the campus.
n




Ensure compliance with regulations regarding special dietary needs for children.
n
Maintain high standards of health and safety in the kitchen.
n
Qualification and Essential Experience:
n
Relevant food safety supervisor (HLTFSE001, HLTFSE005 & HLTFSE007) certificates or commercial cookery certificates
n
Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
Proven ability in all areas of cookery including purchasing, menu planning, meeting nutritional guidelines, working with allergies and budgets
n
Understanding and working knowledge of WHS legislation
n
Demonstrated knowledge of food handling guidelines
n
Organised, neat, clean, and pay attention to details.
