Senior Software Engineer | Node.js | TypeScript | AWS | DevOps

Are you a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working across backend engineering, cloud, DevOps, and contemporary application development?

We're working with a leading Australian technology organisation that is continuing to invest heavily in its product engineering capabilities and is looking for a Senior Engineer to join an established product team.
n
This is an opportunity to join during an exciting period of engineering change, with a significant product evolution program underway and plenty of scope to influence the technology, architecture and engineering practices moving forward.

The Opportunity
n
You'll join a collaborative engineering team working across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to deployment, production support and continuous improvement.
n
While the team has strong front-end capability, they are looking to strengthen their backend and DevOps expertise.
n
You'll become an important technical contributor across:
n
n
React and modern front-end technologies
n
API development and integrations
n
Microservices and distributed systems
n
AWS cloud services and deployments
n
CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines
n
Production support and troubleshooting
n
Automated testing and software quality
n
System design, scalability and resilience
n
Technical mentoring and knowledge sharing
n
n




What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for an experienced software engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the engineering lifecycle.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Strong commercial software engineering experience
n
Experience with React
n
Robust API development experience, including REST and/or GraphQL
n
Hands-on AWS experience
n
Strong DevOps / CI/CD experience
n
Experience with infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform
n
Experience with Docker and cloud deployment technologies
n
Experience designing and working with microservices
n
Strong automated testing practices
n
Experience supporting and troubleshooting production applications
n
An understanding of secure, scalable and resilient software architecture
n
Experience with Python would be beneficial.
n
