We are recruiting for a skilled
Panel Wirer / Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician
to join a growing manufacturing business specialising in the build of bespoke industrial machinery. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working from
electrical drawings, wiring schematics and visual assembly instructions
, taking ownership of both panel wiring and machine build activities.
The Role n
The successful candidate will play a key role in the assembly and manufacture of specialist machinery, with a primary focus on
control panel wiring
, electrical installation and machine assembly.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Control panel assembly and wiring from electrical drawings and schematics
n
Wiring machinery and associated equipment
n
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams and visual work instructions
n
Mechanical assembly and fitting of machine components and sub-assemblies
n
Installation of pneumatic components and systems
n
Testing completed assemblies using provided procedures
n
Carrying out self‐inspection and quality checks
n
Supporting continuous improvement activities within production
n
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and workshop organisation
n




Assisting with spares orders, packing and other production‐related activities when required
n
What We're Looking For n
n
Previous experience as a
Panel Wirer
, Control Panel Wireman, Electrical Assembly Technician or similar
n
Ability to read and work from electrical drawings and wiring schematics
n
Experience wiring control panels to a high standard
n
Strong electro‐mechanical assembly skills
n
Mechanical fitting and machine build experience
n
Knowledge of industrial electrical assembly best practices
n
Experience with pneumatic installations would be advantageous (training can be provided)
n
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Desirable n
n
Forklift Truck Licence
n
Previous experience building special purpose machinery or industrial equipment
n
