Job Description

Victorian Transport Company is offering an excellent chance for a motivated Junior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Brooklyn, Victoria. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the heavy vehicle industry while gaining hands‐on experience working with a modern fleet of over 50 commercial vehicles. You will work alongside experienced mechanics to develop practical skills in servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles.

Key responsibilities

Assist Head Mechanic with servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy vehicles and trailers
n
Support scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance tasks
n
Learn to diagnose mechanical faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems
n
Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
n
Assist with maintaining accurate service records and parts documentation
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n
Actively participate in training and development as part of your apprenticeship
n
Truck and Trailer Washing
