Job Description
SOTA Tractors, Australia's original small acreage specialist, is looking for a friendly and capable person to join our team in a diverse role focused primarily on spare parts. The role includes responding to spare-parts enquiries by phone and email, processing and fulfilling orders received through our online shop and interstate branches and assisting with tractor and implement sales.

We are seeking someone with a genuinely customer-oriented approach who enjoys communicating and takes responsibility for seeing enquiries and orders through to completion.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter, or someone with strong technical aptitude, who wants to develop their knowledge of tractors, agricultural machinery, and implements.
n
You will help customers identify and order the correct parts, manage orders from enquiry through to dispatch, and provide helpful, reliable service throughout the process.
n
The position is based at our main reception desk, where you will also answer incoming calls, welcome a relatively small number of visitors and assist with incoming tractor and implement sales enquiries.

ABOUT THE ROLE
n
Your primary responsibilities will include:
n
n
Helping customers identify the correct spare parts
n
Responding to telephone, email and online parts enquiries
n
Preparing quotations and processing customer orders
n
Processing orders for SOTA's interstate branches
n
Picking, packing and arranging the shipment of parts
n
Receiving stock and maintaining accurate inventory records
n
Assisting with stocktakes and replenishment
n
Keeping customers informed about their enquiries and orders
n
n
You will also:

Provide friendly and helpful first-contact customer service
n
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
n
Welcome and assist visitors
n
Respond to incoming tractor and implement sales enquiries
n
Provide initial product information and prepare quotations
n




Follow up sales enquiries and refer customers to the appropriate branch when required
n
Occasionally assist with basic implement assembly or pre-delivery work
n

ABOUT YOU
n
We are looking for someone who:
n
n
Enjoys helping customers and takes pride in providing excellent service
n
Communicates clearly and professionally, both in person and in writing
n
Has robust technical or mechanical aptitude
n
Is comfortable using computers and learning current systems
n
Is organised, reliable and attentive to detail
n
Can manage several enquiries and orders without losing track of them
n
Works well independently while also contributing to a small team
n
n
Previous experience in spare parts, agricultural machinery, automotive parts, mechanical equipment or a related field would be highly regarded—but knowledge of tractors is not essential if you have the right aptitude and willingness to learn.
n
You may have a mechanical background and be looking to step away from full-time workshop work without leaving the hands-on side behind entirely.
n
A current driver's licence is required. A forklift licence would be well regarded but is not essential.
