Job Description
L&D; Micro Tunnelling are seeking a Fitter & Machinist to join our team. We are based in Carrum Downs and work on civil construction projects throughout Victoria, primarily around Melbourne, Gippsland and the southeast suburbs.

This is a casual position for 3-6 months. Typical work hours are 7.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday with some weekends and overtime required.

Key responsibilities

Maintenance & assembly of drill heads & equipment
n
Respond to breakdowns on-site
n
Work on new R&D; tunnelling equipment
n
n
About you
n
n
White Card or red card
n
Australian trade Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical trade (Fitter & Machinist) with a Minimum of 2-year experience trade qualified
n




Strong ability to read, interpret and apply technical and engineering drawings
n
Adept in Mig welding, fabrication, Manual lathe and Milling machines
n
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to be cutting-edge
n
Own reliable transport
n
Physically fit
n
Available to work Monday to Friday
n
Reliable, hardworking, motivated and willing to learn new skills and add value to the team
n
