Qualified light vehicle mechanic or third year apprentice

n

We are looking for a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic for our Blacktown based workshop.

n

Workshop operates 6 days a week.

n

Successful applicant has to be able to independently work on light vehicles of all makes and models including Japanese and European cars.

n

Responsible for the general maintenance, servicing light vehicles, brakes, clutch, engine and gearbox replacements.

n

Preferred candidates for qualified mechanic job are expected to have:

n

Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology with minimum 2 years experience.

n

3rd or 4th year apprentice can also apply

n

Must have own tools.

n

Honest and reliable

n

Must have a driver licence

n

Current Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate or willing to get one.

n

Willing to learn

n

Job responsibilities include:

n

Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults

n

Use diagnostic scanners, compression tester & pressure testing equipment.

n

Engine & transmission replacement.

n

Tyre replacement, wheel balancing & wheel alignment

n

Wheel balancing & wheel alignment

n

Troubleshooting

n

Timing belts & timing chain replacement

n

Excellent working conditions

Prospect to work on wide variety of vehicle makes & models

n

Appropriate training

n

Prospect to work overtime

n

You must have full work rights in Australia, must be able to provide references & national police check.

n

Pay rate will be based on skills & experience
