About the Role
n
You will start your day with the team in South Geelong before heading out to install custom staircases across a variety of residential and commercial sites.
n
Working collaboratively with the team, you will read and interpret plans, measure and mark out components, complete installation work and make practical adjustments on site when required.
n
This role requires strong carpentry skills, attention to detail and a commitment to completing every installation safely and to a high standard.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Installing timber staircases and associated components across residential and commercial sites
n
Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and measurements
n
Measuring, marking out and completing installation work accurately
n
Confidently and safely using a range of hand and power tools
n
Identifying and resolving practical issues during installation
n
Making adjustments on site when required
n
Working efficiently to meet project timeframes
n
Collaborating with team members and other trades on site
n
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n




Following all workplace health and safety requirements and site procedures
n

About You
n
Staircase Constructions are looking for someone who:
n
n
Has experience in carpentry, joinery, staircase installation or a similar trade
n
Is confident working across residential and commercial sites
n
Can accurately read and work from drawings and plans
n
Is skilled in the protected use of hand and power tools
n
Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in quality workmanship
n
Has a practical and confident approach to problem-solving
n
Is reliable, punctual and organised
n
Works effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
Is physically fit and comfortable with the demands of site-based work
n
Is safety-focused and committed to completing work correctly
n
Holds a current White Card
n
Holds a current driver licence
n
n
A relevant trade qualification would be highly regarded. However, applicants with equivalent skills gained through substantial practical experience are also encouraged to apply.
