About the role
We are seeking two Turf Maintenance Officers to join our Turf Management team within the Open Space and Trees department. Based at the Freeway Golf Course Depot,



these positions will work across a range of sites and play a key role in the day‐to‐day maintenance and presentation of Boroondara's 54 sportsgrounds, helping to deliver high‐quality turf surfaces for community sport and recreation.
Reporting to the Team Leader Sportsgrounds, you will:
Undertake sportsground maintenance, mowing, turf renovations, auditing and irrigation works.
Operate specialised turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
Identify and address turf, irrigation and asset maintenance issues.
Assist in maintaining secure, high‐quality sporting surfaces across Council's 54 sportsgrounds.

Supported by significant operational and capital investment, our program includes a substantial annual works schedule and an ongoing sportsground renewal program, delivering upgrades to three sportsgrounds each year.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A qualification in Sports Turf Management.
