Cumberland View Aged Care are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cleaners and Laundry Assistants to join our team on a part-time basis. The positions offer regular Monday to Friday hours, 8:00am to 2:00pm.

About the Role
n
The Cleaner and Laundry Assistant will provide high-quality professional cleaning and laundry services to help maintain the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a focus on maximising safety and minimising health risks for residents, visitors and staff at all times.
n
Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Cleaner and Laundry Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

n
Providing a timely and efficient cleaning and laundry service that is responsive to the needs of residents and facility operations.
n
Ensuring that the cleaning and laundry service is conducted in a way that is protected to staff and residents and complies with Workplace Health & Safety legislation including safe use of chemicals.
n
Ensuring a high standard of customer service when interacting with residents, resident representatives and staff.
n

About you
n
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
n




n
Previous experience as a cleaner in an Aged Care Facility preferred
n
Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
n
Knowledge of cleaning products and the safe handling, storage and disposal or chemicals, and use of cleaning equipment
n
Good communication skills, including a caring and compassionate manner when interacting with customers and their representatives
n
A commitment to the principles of Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.
n
Ability to build and foster strong working relationships and work well as part of a team.
n
n
The successful applicant will be required to have the following:
n
n
Willingness to obtain valid Police Check
n
Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visa
n
A current Influenza vaccination
n
