n Start: ASAP
n Hours: 6:30am start | 10‐hour days | 5–6 days per week
n Travel: Extensive national travel required (accommodation + $80/day meal allowance provided)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join a well‐established contractor delivering major marine and civil infrastructure projects across Australia.
n

With current and upcoming projects in Sydney, Brisbane, Cairns, Perth, and regional Australia, this role suits a technician who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working on high‐profile projects nationwide.

Equipment You'll Be Working On
n
You will service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet including:
n
n
Cranes (Franna and up to 60t rough terrain)
n
Crawler cranes *******t)
n
Excavators
n
Telehandlers, forklifts, bobcats
n
Hydraulic power packs
n
Diesel electric generators
n
Hydraulic impact hammers
n
Barges with pedestal cranes
n
Drill rigs (hydraulic & pneumatic)
n
EWPs, compressors
n
Trailer‐mounted diesel concrete pumps
n
n
You must be confident across diesel engines, hydraulics, electrics, diagnostics and mechanical repairs.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Service, maintain and repair heavy plant and marine equipment
n
Perform field service and breakdown repairs across Australia
n
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
n
Work closely with the Sydney‐based Maintenance Manager
n
Load and unload equipment using cranes (including occasional 100t crane work)
n
Ensure strict compliance with safety and site requirements
n
Work independently and take ownership of tasks
n
Assist with shutdowns and major project mobilisations
n
n

Requirements
n
n
Diesel Fitter trade certificate (or equivalent heavy mechanical qualification)
n
Strong experience with heavy plant and machinery
n
Ability to work autonomously and problem‐solve
n
White Card
n
Open car licence
n
Forklift ticket
n
Own tools
n
Willingness to travel extensively and work away
n
Solid work ethic and commitment to long‐term employment
