Chef Manager
n Permanent | Full Time | Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm
n $90,000 + super | 40 hours per week
n
We're looking for an experienced Chef Manager to take the lead in the kitchen at Monte Sant' Angelo Mercy College in North Sydney.
n
This is a role where your skills go beyond the plate. You'll be responsible for delivering fresh, quality food every day while helping create a welcoming, well-run kitchen environment for students, staff and your team. As this is an educational environment, you can enjoy something that's increasingly hard to find in hospitality - a Monday to Friday roster, daytime hours and your evenings and weekends back.

What you'll be responsible for
n
You'll take ownership of the day-to-day kitchen operation, including:
n
n
Leading and managing kitchen operations with confidence and care
n
Preparing fresh, nutritious and high-quality food
n
Delivering bulk cooking for a busy education environment
n
Working hands-on across all areas of the kitchen
n
Providing friendly, qualified customer service
n
Maintaining high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation
n
Working independently and using your initiative to keep service running smoothly
n
Supporting a positive, respectful and inclusive kitchen culture
n
n
Desired Skills and Experience

You'll bring:

A recognised Trade Certification
n
Food Safety Supervisor certification
n
RSA
n
Previous experience in a professional kitchen, ideally including high-volume or bulk cooking
n
Strong food preparation and kitchen management skills
n
The ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
n
A genuine commitment to quality, safety and customer service
n
Great communication skills and a team-first attitude
n
n
A Working With Children Check and Flu Vaccination are required for this position.
