We're seeking an experienced Chef / Cook Attendant to join our team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. This role is vital in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals while upholding strict food safety and hygiene standards.

What You'll Do

Prepare and cook menu items with consistency and quality.

Minimise food waste and manage ingredient preparation.
n
Coordinate kitchen and service areas to ensure smooth operations.
n
Maintain food safety standards, including correct storage, rotation, and temperature control.
n
Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
n
Monitor hot and cold food cabinets and maintain correct holding temperatures.
n
Ensure excellent presentation and customer service.

What You'll Bring
n
n
At least 1 year experience in a busy kitchen
n
Robust knowledge of food safety and allergen management.
n
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends.
n
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
n
Certificate in Commercial Cookery
n
Food Handlers Certificate
n
Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or wllingness to obtain)
