ReportingdirectlytotheChiefFinancialOfficer,thisisabroadandcommerciallyfocusedrolespanningfinanceoperations,treasury,investments,taxationandfinancialcontrol.

AbouttheRole

n

YouwilltakeownershipofkeyFinanceoperationswhilepartneringcloselywithseniorstakeholdersacrossthebusiness.

n

Keyresponsibilitiesinclude:

n

n
Managingtreasuryoperations,bankreconciliationsandcashforecasting.
n
Managinginvestmentactivities,complianceandportfoliomonitoring.
n
Managingreinsurancecollateralbalancesandreconciliations.
n
Overseeingpremiumdebtors,ageddebtandprovisionsfordoubtfuldebts.
n
Managingbrokercreditchecksandfinancialreconciliations.
n
Reviewingmonth-endjournalsandsupportingfinancialreporting.
n
Overseeingtaxationandregulatoryreturns,includingGST,FBT,PAYGandstampduty.
n
Managingrelationshipswithexternaltaxadvisors,bankingandinvestmentpartners,andotherkeyserviceproviders.
n




ProvidingguidancetoFinanceteammembersandsupportingtheCFOwithspecialprojectsandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

AboutYou

n

Abankingorfinancialservicesbackgroundisessentialforthisrole. Experiencewithininsurance,bankingoranotherregulatedfinancialservicesenvironmentwillbehighlyregarded.

Youwillideallyhave:

n

n
CA/CPAqualificationandarelevantdegree.
n
5+years'experienceinprogressivelyseniorFinanceroles.
n
Strongcommercialaccountingexperience.
n
Exposuretoinsuranceaccounting,reinsurance,investments,claims,reserving,capitalandriskmanagementishighlydesirable.
n
Experienceworkingwithauditors,regulators,taxationbodies,bankingandinvestmentproviders.
n
StrongExcel,analyticalandnumericalskills.
n
Excellentstakeholdermanagementandcommunicationskills.
n
Aproactive,commerciallymindedapproachwithstrongattentiontodetail.
n
BigFourexperiencewillbeviewedfavourably.
