Due to continued growth, they are seeking a reliable and hands-on Trades Assistant to join their Service Centre team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical background who enjoys practical workshop-based work and is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:00pm

Hourly Rate: $******* per hour

Annual Base Salary: $65,******

Overtime paid at double time from the first 15 minutes

About the Role
n
As a Trades Assistant, you will provide hands-on support to Service Technicians with the disassembly, assembly, servicing and preparation of customer products.
n
Working under the guidance of qualified technicians and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring products are serviced, prepared and completed to a high standard while maintaining a safe, clean and organized workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Service Technicians with the disassembly and assembly of customer products
n
Clean,



organise and prepare parts and equipment
n
Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop environment
n
Receive and assist with incoming product deliveries
n
Assist with painting and final assembly of products
n
Pack and prepare completed products for shipment
n
Assist Service Technicians with repairs, servicing and other workshop activities
n
Operate plant and equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes
n
Follow all company policies, procedures and WHS requirements
n
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with Service Centre team members
n
n
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Previous general mechanical experience
n
Practical, hands-on experience in a workshop, service or similar environment
n
Experience working with mechanical products or similar equipment
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
Forklift Licence – preferred
n
Previous overhead crane experience – preferred
n
n
