Flexihire is currently seeking skilled Diesel Motor Mechanics to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling a wide range of diesel-powered equipment in the hire fleet, including excavators, generators, trailers, and other mobile plant machinery. The role also includes diagnostics, field service, and supporting workshop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
n
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on hire equipment
n
Perform field breakdown repairs and after-hours service when required
n
Prepare machinery for hire, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met
n
Rebuild or replace engine components and troubleshoot transmission and electrical faults
n
Maintain service records and ensure a protected, clean workshop environment
n
Support apprentices and work collaboratively with the team
n
n
Skills and Experience:
n
n
Trade qualification in diesel mechanics or a related field
n
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines
n
Strong troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems
n
Ability to work independently and within a team
n
Good communication and customer service skills
n
