We are seeking a Sales & Events Tarteist to play a key role in driving our Sephora business. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and brings a strong combination of artistry, sales acumen, and people skills. This role requires a scrappy, passionate, and resilient individual who operates with a high level of professionalism, takes ownership, and is confident working autonomously in an entrepreneurial, ever-evolving environment.

Primary Responsibilities
n
The key aspect of this role is to function as a tarte brand rep who can drive sales across Sephora stores in Victoria. The applicant must be capable of delivering a memorable, elevated shopping experience for customers seeking tarte and Sephora products.
n
General store duties: sales & merchandising. Maintaining sufficient stock in drawers and hitting KPIs.
n
Develop and assess an impactful way to merchandise stock on the floor and in the stock room.
n
Act as primary day-to-day brand contact for designated stores; achieve targeted sales growth within those stores while staying within budgetary parameters, as outlined by REM
n
Be the "eyes and ears" of the brand at the store level; provide continual communication of store, product, space/location challenges and/or changes to RM.
n
Demonstrates a high degree of qualified maturity, confidently building, managing,



and owning store-level relationships while acting as a trusted brand representative - navigating peer interactions and public-facing moments with credibility, confidence, discretion, and consistency across both internal teams and external audiences.
n
Owns weekly communication with the Area Manager through clear, structured recaps highlighting business opportunities, performance outcomes, and key wins; ensures timely completion of post-event reporting and contributes meaningfully to weekly and monthly recaps.
n
Support tarte in-store merchandising and visual programs, and communicate challenges to RM.
n
Represent the tarte brand with your image, makeup application (on self) and artistry presentation during training sessions with teams and at events
n
Be aware of artistry trends and translate that to tarte
products/applications
in training and event activities
n
Additional responsibilities:
n
Collaborate with retail partners to analyse and assess stock needs; relay stock concerns to RM.
n
Execute In-store events
n
Qualifications & required skills
n
Must have 2-3 years of retail sales experience, preferably in the cosmetics industry.
n
Memorable, positive, professional and enthusiastic presence.
n
Strong aptitude for product knowledge, brand messaging, artistry, training and selling.
n
Understanding of/experience working with Sephora will be a plus point.
n
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills; email and phone skills are essential.
n
Ability to take strategic direction based on sales and business analysis.
n
Self-motivated, committed and goal-oriented.
n
Energetic and passionate with an entrepreneurial, versatile spirit.
n
Physically capable of lifting & moving products around safely.
n
Flexibility regarding work hours is essential, i.e. must work Saturdays & some public holidays. Normal schedule is Tuesday - Saturday
n
The applicant will have excellent organisational and communication skills.
n
Candidates must hold permanent residency status in Australia to be eligible for this role.
