Forge Machine Operator

n

We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Forge Machine Operator to join a well-established manufacturing team in Coburg North.

n

This is a hands-on role within a heavy manufacturing workplace, operating machinery used to shape steel and other metal components using pressure and, where required, heat to produce finished forged products.

n

The role will suit someone with previous experience operating industrial machinery who is comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
Operate forge presses and metal-forming machinery
n
Set up and monitor machinery during production
n
Load and position metal components into dies
n
Remove and inspect finished forged components
n
Conduct basic quality and batch checks
n
Measure finished products to specifications
n
Handle and move steel components and materials
n




Perform general factory and production duties
n
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
n
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures
n

About You

n

n
Previous experience operating forge machinery, presses or heavy industrial machinery
n
Manufacturing, metalworking or heavy industry experience highly regarded
n
Good mechanical aptitude
n
Comfortable working around heavy machinery and metal products
n
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
n
Strong attention to detail and quality
n
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
n
Solid commitment to workplace safety
n
