Advanced Molecular Technologies Pty Ltd (AMT) is an Australian biotech and R&D; company seeking enthusiastic and motivated Chemists to support our up-and-coming CRO linked projects on a 6 – 12 month full time basis. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone confident working in a regulated lab workplace who can contribute from day one.

The Role

We are looking for a number of organic/medicinal Chemists with varying levels of tertiary qualifications (PhD, MSc or BSc (Hons) are all acceptable) to join our team to support our up‑and‑coming CRO linked projects on a 6 – 12 month full‑time basis.

Key Responsibilities
Conducting synthetic organic chemistry/chemistry research within a range of CRO projects
Performing purification of materials to required qualities and standards
Carrying out analytical and quality control processes, encompassing NMR, HPLC, GC, UV‑Vis, FT‑IR, and other in‑house techniques as appropriate
Hands‑on laboratory work

Skills & Experience

A tertiary qualification (PhD, MSc or BSc (Hons)) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry,



or a closely related discipline is essential. Relevant postdoctoral or industry experience is highly desirable
Hands‑on experience in synthetic organic and/or medicinal chemistry, including compound purification and analytical characterisation techniques is required
Strong written and verbal communication skill and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate scientific concepts and results clearly to colleagues
High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work including flexibility, adaptability, responsiveness and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others
Effective time management and organisational skills including the ability to maintain accurate laboratory records, manage multiple priorities and document experimental work to a high standard
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
Reliable and punctual

Requirements

Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia

Ability to reliably commute to Melbourne’s South East suburbs

Remuneration will be based on the successful applicant’s experience, skills and qualifications
