Albury Treetops Early Education is looking for a
Diploma-qualified Educator
to join our preschool team in a full-time position, with a particular focus on
outdoor education, Bush Kindy and learning within our local community
.
This is an opportunity for an educator who loves being outside, exploring alongside children and thinking creatively about what an early childhood program can look like when we move beyond the boundaries of the service.
About the role
Working within our preschool-age team, you will help champion and grow our approach to outdoor and community-based learning.
We want our children to have regular opportunities to step outside the gates of Treetops and build relationships with the places, people and natural environments around them.
This might look like:
Bush Kindy and regular nature-based experiences
Community walks and local excursions
Exploring changing seasons, weather and Country
Supporting children to encounter appropriate risk, challenge and adventure
Developing children's confidence and capability in outdoor environments




Following children's questions and theories beyond the preschool room
Building meaningful connections with our local community
We aren't looking for someone to simply supervise outdoor play. We're looking for an educator who is curious about
what becomes possible when children have time, trust and freedom to explore the world around them.
Who we're looking for
You will hold a
Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
and bring a genuine interest in working with preschool-aged children.
You might already have experience with Bush Kindy, Forest School, nature pedagogy, community excursions or outdoor education, or you may simply have a strong interest in developing your practice in this area.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who:
Sees children as capable, curious and competent
Enjoys being outdoors in all kinds of weather
Values relationships, play and child-led inquiry
Is comfortable supporting children to experience appropriate challenge and risk
Can think beyond traditional ideas of what a preschool program should look like
Wants to contribute ideas and help shape practice, rather than simply follow a set program
Values collaboration, reflection and ongoing qualified learning
