About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Technical Business Analyst (Tech BA)
with strong
banking and financial services experience
to bridge business requirements and technology solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, product owners, developers, and testing teams to analyse business processes, define requirements, and deliver technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in
banking/financial services environments
, with strong capabilities in requirements elicitation, process analysis, functional documentation, Agile delivery, testing, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
Work with business stakeholders and SMEs to
elicit, analyse, validate, and document business and technical requirements
.
Translate business requirements into
functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation
.
Analyse current
as-is processes
and design
to-be processes
to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, controls, and process improvement.
Facilitate workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, pain points, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
Partner with developers, architects, testers, product owners, and project managers throughout the
SDLC
.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex technical concepts into clear business language.
Develop process flows, business process maps, functional specifications, and supporting documentation.
Identify business impacts, risks, dependencies, and change requirements associated with proposed technology solutions.
Define
user stories and acceptance criteria




and maintain requirements through tools such as
Azure DevOps/Jira
.
Work closely with QA and business teams to develop and execute
test scenarios, test scripts, integration testing, and UAT
.
Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, issue resolution, and validation of delivered solutions.
Participate in
Agile ceremonies
, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Support business users during
UAT, implementation, CRP, go-live, and post-production support
.
Prepare training materials and support knowledge transfer and adoption of new systems and processes.
Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and other business functions to ensure solutions meet regulatory and operational requirements.
Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing banking processes, systems, controls, and downstream integrations.
Ensure requirements and delivered solutions align with
business objectives, governance, risk, and compliance standards
.
The successful candidate should have experience working within
banking or financial services
, with exposure to areas such as:
Banking operations and financial processes
Payments and transaction processing
Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable
General Ledger and financial reporting
Reconciliations and financial controls
Regulatory and compliance requirements
Customer/account-related processes
Risk and operational controls
Financial systems and enterprise applications
Process automation and digital transformation

Desirable Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Business, Information Technology, Finance, Computer Science

Business Analysis certification such as
IIBA/CBAP, PMI-PBA
, or equivalent.
Agile/Scrum certification is desirable.
Experience with Oracle or other enterprise financial platforms is advantageous.
Experience Required
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst
Demonstrated experience in
banking or financial services
Experience delivering technology projects within complex enterprise environments
Proven experience working across
business, technology, development, and testing teams
Strong experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, UAT, and stakeholder management
Experience with
financial systems, ERP, payments, or banking platforms
is highly desirable.
