The Role
n
The Operations Manager – Distribution will lead daily distribution operations, build accountable teams and drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, service, productivity and performance. The role requires disciplined execution, effective cross-functional leadership and a solid focus on consistently meeting customer commitments.

Key Responsibilities
n

Lead and manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
n
Develop and implement operational strategies, resources and processes.
n
Monitor KPIs and implement performance improvement initiatives.
n
Collaborate with department heads to align operations with overall business objectives.
n
Manage operating budgets, inventory and resource planning to balance service reliability, working capital and cost performance.
n
Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
n




Identify areas for process optimization and lead change management initiatives.
n
Recruit, train, and mentor operational staff.
n
Prepare and present reports to senior management.
n

Qualifications
n
n
Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.
n
Practical mindset and positive problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent organisational and leadership abilities, a solutions-focused mindset and a transparent, collaborative communication style.
n
Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for quality control across a department, establish explicit standards and sustain high performance.
n
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities and accountabilities.
n
Strong understanding of risk and compliance obligations, implement required controls and lead teams positively through change.
