We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join an exploration team on a mining project in Far North Queensland.
This is a hands‐on field-based role supporting geologists and drilling teams across RC and diamond drilling programs. The role would suit someone with previous field assistant, exploration or mining experience who is comfortable working remotely and as part of a small team.
Key responsibilities:
Provide field support to geologists across RC and diamond drilling programs
Assist with logging, sampling and processing of drill samples
Collect, photograph, cut and correctly store diamond drill core
Mark out and pick up drill holes, access tracks and other field locations
Assist with drill-site and access-track rehabilitation
Complete accurate data entry and sampling records
Support drilling crews with consumables and general site requirements
Carry out basic maintenance of vehicles, pumps, plant and camp facilities
Maintain vehicles, equipment and camp areas to a high standard
Follow all site safety, environmental and operational procedures
About you:
Previous experience as a Field Assistant, Field Technician or similar is preferred




6–12 months' relevant field experience would be advantageous
Valid Australian driver's licence
Good numerical and written skills with solid attention to detail
Comfortable working in remote field environments
Good computer skills, including Excel
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong safety awareness and a practical, hands‐on approach
