Inclusive Co is looking for a warm, capable and experienced disability professional to join our team as our Assistant House & Socials Manager (2IC).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working directly with people but is ready to step into greater responsibility, leadership and coordination.
At Inclusive Co, we believe excellent disability support is about much more than filling shifts. It's about building genuine relationships, creating opportunities, supporting independence and helping people feel connected to their community.
We're looking for someone who shares that approach.
About the role
Working alongside our SIL and Socials Manager, you'll help oversee our Supported Independent Living (SIL), ILO and community/social programs.
This is a
hands-on leadership role
. Some days you'll be supporting staff and coordinating the house, other days you might be communicating with families, helping organise a social activity,

You'll also act as the overseeing Manager during rostered days off and periods of leave.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the day-to-day operation of our SIL and ILO services
Helping coordinate our social and community participation programs
Mentoring and supporting disability support workers
Monitoring participant wellbeing, goals and changing support needs
Assisting with rostering, shift changes and unexpected staffing gaps
Building positive relationships with participants, families and Support Coordinators
Ensuring progress notes, incidents, risk assessments and participant documentation are completed to a high standard
Supporting NDIS compliance and continuous improvement
Helping maintain a safe, welcoming and well‐run home environment
Stepping into direct participant support when reasonably required
Who we're looking for
We'd love to hear from someone who is:
Kind, approachable and genuinely person‐centred
Confident communicating with participants, families and staff
Organised and able to keep multiple things moving
A natural problem solver who doesn't wait to be told every next step
Comfortable providing guidance and leadership to a team
Experienced in SIL and/or ILO
Knowledgeable about the NDIS and quality support delivery

Able to remain calm and make good decisions when plans change
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who
really cares about people
and understands that good leadership in disability services starts with relationships.
Essential requirements
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
Previous SIL and/or ILO experience
Previous leadership or senior support experience
Current driver's licence
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid & CPR
Medication competency
Understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and person‐centred practice
Experience with
ShiftCare, social/community programs, Positive Behaviour Support, staff mentoring or NDIS audits
would be highly regarded.
Availability
You
must be available Tuesdays and Wednesdays
.
There may also be some evening, weekend or public holiday work depending on participant and operational needs, so flexibility is important.
Why Inclusive Co?
Inclusive Co is a Newcastle-based disability provider with a strong focus on
community, connection and genuinely enjoyable support
.
Our social programs are a big part of who we are. We want participants to have opportunities to build friendships, try new things, develop independence and feel part of something.
You'll be joining an established team and working closely with our House Manager while having the opportunity to bring your own ideas, energy and leadership to the role.
If you're an experienced disability support professional who's ready for the next step – but still wants to stay connected to participants and the reason you entered the sector in the first place –
we'd love to hear from you.
