The Holy Trinity Parish, is a well-respected, dynamic and vibrant Parish in the South-Eastern Suburbs of

Melbourne. It comprises three worshiping centres: St Peter's, East Bentleigh, St Paul's Bentleigh, and St
n
Catherine's Moorabbin.
n
The goal of our Pastoral Coordinator is to assist the Parish Priest, Assistant priests, and Pastoral
n
Assistants in inspiring and spreading Christ's love and welcoming all into our Parish community. Holy
n
Trinity achieves this goal by implementing the principles, practices and teachings of the Catholic
n
Church.
n
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
n
Liturgy
n
n
Working with Parish Liturgical Teams in the preparations of Mass materials (commentaries, prayers of the faithful, Power Point slides) for the 7 weekend Masses across three centres;
n
Supporting Liturgical Teams, Mass coordinators, Music providers in their assigned work;
n
Planning with the Parish Priest, ceremonies of the church's major liturgical seasons;
n
Planning and developing training programs for volunteers who work in the liturgical area.
n

Funerals
n
n
Coordinating funerals arrangements
n
Meeting with families and assisting in the preparation of the funeral ceremony;
n
n
Sacraments
n
n
Facilitates the work of RCIA, RCIC, with volunteer support;
n
Oversees preparations for baptisms, and assists in marriage preparation;
n




Liaises with Parish REL's regarding the school based sacramental program;
n
n
Community Outreach
n
n
Coordinating pastoral visitation programs and the distribution of Holy Communion
n
Overseeing outreach initiatives for recent and re-engaging established parishioners;
n
n
Faith Formation & Volunteer Coordination
n
n
Supporting volunteer-led Alpha, Catholic Kids, and Adult faith formation programs;
n
Coordinates volunteer recruitment, training and support programs
n
Safeguarding compliance, maintaining records, preparing reports for Parish Bulletin;
n
n
Leadership & Team Coordination
n
n
Co-ordinating and supervising duties to the two Pastoral Assistants based on parish needs
n
Attending regular meetings with Parish Priest, Pastoral Assistants and Administration staff
n
Managing pastoral program budget and quality standards;
n
Supporting Sunday worshipping community and enhance their involvement in Parish Life
n
Be the first point of contact for pastoral initiatives and pastoral needs coming in and out of parish life
n

WHAT YOU BRING
n
n
A practicing and committed Catholic;
n
Having relevant qualifications in theology and /or pastoral studies;
n
Experience in leadership in a Parish environment;
n
Possess effective communication and organizational skills;
n
A current Driver License and vehicle;
n
Working with Children and Police check;
n
Capable and willing to develop effective working relationships with the Parish Priest, and Associate Priests, staff and volunteers;
n
Excellent interpersonal skills with healthy, professional boundaries
n
n
