n Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated 1st Year Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice to join one of our host employers in Elsternwick, VIC.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start your automotive career in a professional workshop environment, working alongside experienced technicians while completing your AUR***** Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
n
You'll gain practical experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a range of vehicles while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic.

No previous automotive experience is required. If you have a genuine passion for cars, enjoy working with your hands and are eager to learn, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing
n
As a Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice, you'll learn how to:
n

Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
n
Inspect vehicles and identify mechanical faults.
n
Assist with diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.
n
Service and repair braking systems.
n
Work on steering and suspension systems.
n
Assist with engine servicing and mechanical repairs.
n
Maintain and repair cooling systems.
n
Work with vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
n
Use workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
n
Complete safety and vehicle inspections.
n
Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.
n
Develop your understanding of different vehicle makes, models and systems.
